SUPPLEMENTS AND VITAMINS:
If You Have Cancer
Acupuncture and herbs are not treatments for cancer, but they serve
to support the person and can make the treatments with radiation
and chemotherapy much less toxic. There is no reason that people
need to be so ill and so debilitated when they are undergoing chemotherapy
and radiation therapy. Also, there is no evidence at the current
time that the treatments done with herbs, supplements and acupuncture
to support a person who is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation
therapy in any way interfere with the effectiveness of these toxic
therapies.
Please see the page with Frequently Asked Questions About Acupuncture
(FAQ's) in the section on Acupuncture for a further discussion of
the use of Oriental Medicine in the treatment of cancer.
The treatment of someone who is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation
therapy is very individualized. Such radical therapies as these
expose every aspect of your health and well-being that is in any
way weak or out of balance, and no two people are the same. There
is no such thing as a general recommendation for someone who is
being treated for cancer when it comes to acupuncture and herbs.
A consultation is required if you wish to pursue this type of treatment.
