African Herbs The traditional medicine that is indigenous to Africa includes a great number of important and effective herbs which are not a part of the Oriental herbal tradition, the Ayurvedic herbal tradition from India and Tibet for the western herbal traditions from Europe and the Americas. Many herbs that are used widely in Africa are poorly understood by those practicing herbal medicine in the United States and many of these herbs are not readily available. In the coming years, we will slowly add to the materials on African herbs in this website.
